The Village is now a partner with the Call2Recycle program as a battery drop off location.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

Thank you for your patience as we completed our test section for Dust Control earlier this month. At this time Council is pleased with how the test section using the RAS (Recycled Asphalt Shingles) for dust control on Colborne Ave and the small section of the East Grid is working so far. They will continue to review and see how it holds up over the fall and winter and what it looks like again in the spring in terms of sustainability and maintenance. It is Council’s intention that if all goes well and it holds up as expected, to expand the Dust Control program next spring to additional roads and start it sooner as well.
The information below has been provided by the Ministry of Highways. Contact information for the Ministry and project leads is included int heir info sheet, if you have questions please use the numbers they have provided.
A construction project on HWY #16 to add a total of 8 passing lanes is set to begin July 12th, 2021 and weather permitting be completed by June 30, 2022. Please see the below information sheet for more information on potential traffic delays.
Public traffic can expect minor delays and disruptions to their normal travel schedules as traffic will be accommodated through the work one using one way traffic and a reduced speed of 60 km/hr. Flaggers will be present and traffic may be stopped for a period of no longer than 20 minutes. The contractor will provide traffic accommodation.
